Hi All,
Tried ngc-1365 last night, results herewith, LX200/10" at F-10 light capture to the Canon is low, so took 11 Pix. of 6 Min. at ISO800 and not bad (could be better) DF removed guided with ED80+MX7C, I feel that objects like this are best imaged with a cooled camera, or a lager scope, anyone else out there have any Pix. taken with a Canon of this object, my Canon is modified (just for info.).
For comparison, Galaxy ngc-253 is Mag. 7, ngc-1365 is Mag. 9.5- some two and a half times less bright than ngc-253.

cheers...............Jim

Thats very good for F10 and a non cooled camera.

I'd say that's an excellent result. I wouldn't have expected that much detail visible for a DSLR (unmodified?).

I took some shots of M83 I think it was one time and quickly decided to abandon my efforts with the DSLR on "faint" objects such as these. So I'm really impressed with what you have here.

Roger.
