Hi all,
Here is another image which was captured at Zane Hammond's Magellan Observatory.
It was so cold whilst I was imaging this.
Read and view here (http://members.optusnet.com.au/mrozycka/Magellan_Observatory/Magellan_Observatory_20061119_Eta_C arinae_Nebula.html).

Another gerat image there. Star colours come through very well.
How do you get the nikon lens onto your Canon camera, with an adpator?
Thanks

Scott,
Thanks for compliment.
Zane had a Nikkor to Canon adapter with a rotating attachment, so, it was quite easy to mount the camera and lens on the mount and then just swivel the camera around the lens with clicks every 90 degrees so you knew your orientation. Must get myself one of those.

Humayun

Lovely shot H, as always.
The reddish-pink nebulosity rather reminds of hot lipstick. Carina must have put her make-up on in anticipation of your visit. I think she likes you....

like Rod, I too think its an unusual colour-as captured or is to do with rgb balancing in processing?

Narayan,
It's pretty much how it came out of the camera. *shrugs shoulders*
I'll have to reshoot it.

Mike,
Cheers again, mate. :)
I am intrigued as to why it's turned out like that.
This weekend, when I have access to a CRT monitor, I may reprocess it.
I think I may have gone a little overboard in my stretching.

Humayun
