Hi All,

decided to put my mount through its paces last week as it has been a while since I used it. I managed to adjust the worm backlash and PHD2 seemed to calibrate much quicker than last time.
Unfortunately it turned out to be a 43 degree day so being such a warm evening it wasn't ideal for minimising DLSR sensor noise. I ended up taking the subs at only 100 ISO and successfully dithered most of the subs manually in PHD2.

I ended up with just 9 x 7min subs taken using my astro-modded Pentax K-5iis through a Pentax 165mm f2.8 6x7 lens stopped down to f6 using an aperture mask.

Thanks very much Leon.

Thanks Rick!

Thank-you Rodney.

Thanks Colin. The modded DLSR is certainly paying dividends. Would have liked some more data (& some shorter exposures for the core of M42) but happy with the result given the conditions.
