Decided to finally do some astro image work after about 2 1/2 years lay off as I got heavily into straight nightscape and street photography.
Anyway I knew that I had a lot of data for NGC300 and started to muddle my way through Pixinsight which resulted in a complete melt down followed rapidly by a total brain fart. What a mess - but luckily Geoff Biggs became interested in it and gracefully wanted to massage the data for me.
What a difference when someone who knew what they were doing managed to get the data together and give it a good scrubing. Im fully indebted to Geoff for his patience and generous efforts to put this together.
Consisted of generally 1800 and 900 sec subs through a 5" apo refractor using SGP and a QSI583 on a modified EQ6 mount. LRGB data gathered and this year I hope to get the Ha data at Astrofest 2017. A total of about 10hr of data, all up as its quite faint and needs long subs.
There are between 30-40 small galaxies in the background if you are interested.

Very fine. Nice colours, and pleasantly processed. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Looks good Allan and Geoff. Nice to see the blue stars not saturated.

I had a play with this one as well, as it looks too purple again to me, and it came out really well although I did not save it and post it.

Keep up the great work.
