I am selling my NEQ6 Pro mount, which has the Rowan Engineering Belt Drive system. This mount has served me well for a few years now but has to make way for a new higher capacity mount coming into the observatory. It was purchased from Andrews at the end of April 2014, so it is less than three years old.
Details of the basic NEQ6 Pro are:
NEQ6PRO-W SynScan "Go-To" extra-heavy duty equatorial mount (white) with tubular stainless steel tripod legs and the V4.0 computerised hand controller - which has a data base in excess of 13,400 objects.
Handles up to 20kg. of weight load.
Complete package!
Newly designed "stepped" dual-purpose wide/narrow dovetail head accepts either a 1.75" (45mm) wide dovetail bar or Losmandy style 3" (75mm) wide dovetail bar, any time!
Features PEC (periodic error correction), which makes it most suitable for astrophotography.
I am including a lockable padded hard case for the mount head unit, and a padded carry bag for the two 5kg counter weights. The mount also has upgraded adjustment knobs for the Alt and Az.
Retail price of this mount is $1799 from Andrews, more from Bintel, and the Rowan Belt mod will set you back another $205 (plus shipping). Details of the Rowan Belt mod can be found here:

This NEQ6 Pro was stripped down at the end of 2015 and cleaned and regreased, and the Belt Mod installed. The worm end bearings were adjusted at that time. The mount is available for inspection if required. There are no scratches on the paint work of the mount, but the counterweight bar does have some marring from the weights. The mount is always covered when not in use.
I am asking $1400 for this very nice, quiet, and accurate mount and accessories, significantly below replacement value. I would prefer local pickup, or I can meet up for dleivery between Sydney and Newcastle NSW. For other buyers, shipping can be arranged via road transport (TNT, etc) at additional cost subject to quote based on your post code. However, i only have the old tripod box and no box for the head unit - other than the hardcase which could possibly be shipped. The counterweights might fit in the tripod box, not sure.
Preliminary photos are attached, I will get some better ones up tomorrow. For examples of images taken with this mount just click on my Astrobin Gallery link in my signature line at the bottom of this post.
PM me here on IIS if interested.
