Hey all,
Had a stab at the Orion Nebula last night - my second Nebula attempt.

I was really impressed with the DGM Optics NPB Nebula Filter.

I've attached a before and after both shot @ ISO 3200 for 25 seconds with no guiding and very suspect polar alignment. It pretty much removed most of the light pollution. BTW - I was only getting my bearings at this stage and pics are a bit out of focus.

I'm processing my images now.

Cheers
Mick

The filter certainly makes a big difference!

LPR filters are essential nowadays.
Mick, you may want to do a custom white balance with your modded camera to reduce the red/pink cast so the images are more "natural" looking.

I was really surprised by how well it worked. Very happy.

Thanks Bo. I have a custom WB that I use to give great results for normal daytime photography, so next time I do Orion I will do a comparison.
