When I use the option to mark the Buy & Sell forum read, it clears the read flag on ALL forums! Doesn't happen with any other forum. While a handy way to clean up all forums ;), it usually happens when I forget!

mmm I just tried it. It marked just the buy/sell forum as read and left the rest of the forums unread as they were. I'd like to say I have a solution to your problem but

I'll have a look but yes, you get an extra 'feature' no one else has... lucky you :)

Just realised - I upgraded to IE7 the other day, and it is only since then that this has been happening. Another "bonus" from MS?

gawd David. IE7. You couldn't wait until service pack 72 came out before you installed it. :)

Sorry Dave but I can't explain your problem either. I can only suggest you accidently clicked "Mark All Forums Read" instead of for the individual forum.

That functionality hasn't changed.. ever, and i've never heard of, or had any problems with it.

Don't you just love it when people "discover" features of the application!

Obviously I used the Quick Links > Mark Forums Read instead of Forum Tools > Mark This Forum Read option. Doh!

Well at least I can now reset all the forums easily. And of course, this just shows that the boys from MS aren't always behind every disaster to befall man!

Thanks guys.

Of course not every disaster... I'm sure there must be a few earthquakes they didn't cause ;)
