Looked like an easy target at first, until I realised the low surface brightness needs about 100 hours! Instead I gave it 247 minutes. This is with 470 subs of 30 and 45 seconds, taken over 4 nights, 10" F4 GSO Newtonian, Pentax K-5.

Thanks Colin! Haha yeah it cries for more time but to get even 1 single clear night in the tropics in summer is rare. I'm getting about 1 hour clear per night, scattered here and there, which is great. But now the monsoons are moving down and I'll be lucky to see anything for a while.

Not bad. I have a fair bit of data on this one. Its a very pretty galaxy but yes its a bit on the dim side.

Thanks Greg. I probably need to start thinking long term about these dimmer targets. More in the terms of months to gather data. But I don't have the patience at the moment. I'm like a kid in the candy store with the new observatory.
