Hello All,

Well it's 9 days to Christmas and I don't see any Season's greeting up yet (except for the IIS Santa hat), so I thought I'd take this opportunity to wish you and your families well for Christmas and for for a bright 2017.

Christmas, New Year and the holiday period mean different things to different people. I think most accept it as a time for family, reflection, wishing well and ultimately hope and happiness for the future. Unfortunately not everyone's circumstances are the same and for some it can be a time of sadness, loneliness and recalling loss. Always remember the good things - tomorrow is always going to be there.

All the best to you and yours

Best
JA

Just bumping this thread to the top, with only 4 replies from 303 views one could conclude that astronomers don't celebrate Christmas or are just a miserable bunch.......

Have a Merry Christmas you grumpy buggers :lol::lol:

Bah Humbug.

Merry Christmas to all members irrespective of how one interptets the occasion it is an opportunity to use the word "happy" and that must be good.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good on you Malcolm and Happy Festivus. I had forgotten about the feats of strength component of the celebration and had a chuckle when I read it.

I hope your Festivus pole was also up. (Should I blush when I say that? hehehheheheeee)
