I promised that I would post a foto of the new scope (and the old ones I think) anyways here is my new 12 inch scope from Bintel. Thanks again Mrs Smith for driving me home with it, it seems silly now thinking I could manage it on the Sydney trains.
I am very happy with the scope and surprised how much more I see everything is like new again up there...Alex

I know that feeling of everything up there "being new again". Got my 12.5" dob mid December last year. Since then it has been constant rediscovery - particulalry as the previous big glass was 6".

I'm looking forward to the winter milkyway to come up earlier in the evening - so much to rediscover there!

Similar feeling I reported in 'A Night of Nebulas', yes everything is new with a bigger scope! I thought I had seen a lot in my old 4.25" reflector. Ha! What a joke. My 12" has opened up the deep!
