When I've been trying to align the mount using the Polar Scope, I've been looking at Stellarium on the PC to see at what rotation Octans is at, I can't ever seem to find it though. It just occurred to me, the polar scope would be inverted would it not?

The stars you seek are not bright.
The reticle lighting has to be way down to see them
The hour angle will be important for working out which stars you seek.

The top panel shows the naked eye “right way up” view with my neighbour’s roofline at the bottom of frame, behaving the laws of gravity.

The bottom panel shows the default inverted view using the QHY PoleMaster showing my neighbours roofline spookily floating at the top of frame.

These are screen captures using the QHY PoleMaster application.

Cheers
