After a disappointing couple of hours trying to image C103, I tried my hand at the moon, wanting to make sure I knew exactly which settings to use to get that "Super" moon look tomorrow evening. Too bad a southerly is going to ruin it for the Central Coast NSW.

Looks good Kevin. There is only a slight suggestion of a fringe on the left limp. Did you use a filter?

Thanks Glen,

No filter, post chromatic aberration reduction, it was 10x worse in the original. The telescope has horrible chromatic distortion. Will be looking for something to dampen it... a coma reducer, field flatner, or something like that. I've seen it mentioned many times in the posts. Ultimately will move to an APO when I have the money saved up.
