I had the pleasure of sitting near the small stage at The Riverboat Coffeehouse, in Yorkville, Toronto, Canada in the early 1970s for one of Leonard Cohen's sets. A legend not forgotten. Leonard's old girlfriend, and subject of some of his songs, Marianne, died just recently and he had sent her a final message that we would be "close behind her".
