Marcus Strom reports today (http://www.smh.com.au/technology/sci-tech/sydney-wins-the-race-to-host-cospar-2020-the-global-space-olympics-20161108-gskeef.html)in the Sydney Morning Herald that Sydney
has won the bid to host the world assembly of the Committee on
Space Research, or COSPAR, in 2020.
COSPAR is the world's largest gathering of space scientists.
The event will take place at the new billion-dollar convention centre
in Darling Harbour.
