Anyone in Macclesfield SA ??

Hi everyone, I hope this is a right forum to post this Q:

I'm seeking opinion about Macclesfield in SA. Sold my house in Mount Compass and renting in the Adelaide Hills, but can't afford anything there...especially a property good for astronomy.



I was thinking looking around Macclesfield... it's in my price range and a bit isolated etc.


Can anyone report what's the conditions like there please. Seeing, local wind and air-disturbances... light pollution etc.

The ASSA holds monthly meetings and viewing nights in Tooperang, not too far from Macclesfield, but then being from Mount Compass, you were probably closer to Tooperang.

Yes, I saw the 'lightpollution' map. Just wanted to hear from any local's opinion.
Mount Compass was OK, not great because of street lights and the wind sometimes drove me mad. Hope Macclesfield is not as windy.
