Hi
Stumbled across this odd SB spiral galaxy when browsing through Star Atlas pro for something to image tonight.
6x10 mins ISO 200, uv/ir filter, MPCC, modded 350D on 10 inch F5.6 scope, hand guided. Processed in Iris and Photoshop. Paintshop Pro used to resize image for display here. Also used Gradient Xterminator in Photoshop to get rid of a slight gradient as it was lowish and in light pollution.

This object is very deep south, at -66 declination. NGC 1313a is visible to its left.

My scope actually tracks better the deeper south things are, as guide errors are less noticable, it was quite easy keeping the guidestar still in the reticle.

Thanks all.
NGC 1313 is mag 9, the small NGC 1313a is mag 13.8
Heres a map of its location in Star Atlas pro, with the image field of the 10 inch and 350D shown.

I really like that image Scott. That little galaxy in the back ground sets things of nicely. Well done.

Nice shot Scott. I have imaged this one a couple of times. Good to see you have also captured NGC1313a to the left.

Scott,

That's gorgeous.

Looks like a canary flying or something.
