Having spent the last two days fixing up a right, royal fuster cluck of an irrigation system.... just before lunch today a guy walks past and says: Man, you should get out of the sun, you are seriously sunburnt.

I reply: dude, it's all good, I'm covered in 50+

He responds: nah mate, you are glowing red.

I assumed his perception was in error and soldiered on.

... It now occurs to me that if one intends to spend a day bent over hole(s) in the ground, it is wise to also consider applying sunscreen to the plumber's canyon. (or wear a larger tee shirt)

It's a pity your Onlooker wasn't more specific, although he would be forced into the uncomfortable admission that he was eyeballing your coin slot. And dare I say it: "bummer"!
Hope you recover quickly. We haven't had much sun of late so you can be forgiven for that oversight!
