Who else watches this great show?

It's on at 7:30pm Monday nights on SBS (ie: last night).

For those that don't know of it, it's 2 guys who set out to debunk popular urban myths by conducting experiments to prove or disprove the myth.

It's a funny show, and they have a great load of fun usually blowing stuff up :) Astronomers are usually a pretty geeky bunch and it's a show I think most of us would enjoy.

Last night they disproved that a sinking ship would pull people down, they disproved that fish only have a memory of 3 seconds, and they disproved some urban myth about a trombone player who supposedly stuffed firecrackers in his trombone and had a mute fire out and hit the conductor.

It's a great fun show, they make some great experiments and build some cool stuff.

best show around, glued to the TV every monday night. For those that miss the show, its repeated the following monday 5-6pm.

Last night was the first time i did not believe them. I reckon if you were going down with the titanic you would be struggling to stay on the surface. The pool tests i believe proved that for a large enuf body sinking fast will have enuf force to pull you down. The tug boat was to small and sank very slowly and spread its force out over a wide area.

My favourite show, I've seen it mentioned in Iceinspace before. My favourite was the Lawn Chair baloonist story. What a gutsy effort 14000 ft high in a chair supported by only weather balloons. :face:

I love that show there was one on the other night where they tested what would happen when a window of a plane was blown out at cruising altitude. :D

I also saw the weather balloon one. The amounnt of helium that they used was huge!!:eyepop: Must have been very expensive!

Has anyone seen the episode where they put the dead pigs in a car and locked it in a container for a month? Apparently it was really really digusting!

yeah cool show, don't believe the titanic theory either. That was a little boat they used, a big ship might be another story.

The chicken one was good, and the one where the red headed guy got his eye brows burnt off.

Very cool show, beside there is nothing else descent to watch at that time.

I try not to miss it, but if I do I watch it the following week at 5pm. So you get double the mythbusting for free.

I love it when they try and blow things up, if the myth is busted, why not recreate the results :)

I am wondering if they are going to do the myth of man walking on the moon.

I think it's time to duck.
