Hi all, now here's something you dont see every day.
I wonder if it will catch on in Australia. Entry level for the tow truck business maybe.

A bike with a collapsible trailer? How cool!

Dont really know Ving, may be a prototype or something.
The thing is that they are so innovative over there that nothing would surprise me.
Those Honda Goldwing's have 6 cylinder 1500cc motors and lots of torque so it is possible.

cheers

P.S. I have a BMW 750cc triple with a trailor that can carry a load of up to 120kg, Kee and I went touring with a load to Cooktown and back with no problems.

Hmmm, :confuse3: If I took of the fiberglass body and attached one of those plastic personal observatories that I've seen on websites in America, could be onto something here Ving :D

A real conversation piece at star parties

cheers

You're right Ric - 1500cc and possibly a low-range gear set for some extra torque.

I wouldn't want to tow a car 3 times the weight of the bike though... it'd be pretty bad in a hard braking/jacknife situation.....

Engenius.
Ideal for manuvoring around peakhour traffic. As you said, no good for long range towing, but strong enough to move a car off the highway so they can get the traffic going again.

Hi Omaroo, you would not have to worry about the low range gears.
The new 1800cc has enough pull to lift stumps out of the ground. they would have with the gear they carry and tow, A trike version would be better suited methinks.
Like JJJ mentioned, it would be great for moving a car off the freeway and getting the traffic moving. I hear they have some amazing gridlocks in some of the Asian capital cities.

Hi Ken, Harleys are another beast with serious grunt. I got to take a Fatboy for a test ride and was very impressed with the power down low.

Towing isn't much use to us... How about something like this: http://www.pacastronomy.50megs.com/cgi-bin/i/pacmo/dome_28.jpg
