This is another one from Friday night. It is a little more complex as it consist of 5x1min and 5x3min subs so a total exposure of 20 minutes (I know, hard to believe I would spend so much time!). I also grabbed some subs in RGB but still not happy with the processing so just doing this ATM.

Camera Atik One 6.0
Scope Stellarvue SV102T-IS (102mm at f5.6)
Mount Orion AZ/EQ G
Filter Astronomik Ha 12nm
Guiding OAG with Atik GP and PHD
Captured with SGP
Processed in DSS and curves and levels in PS CC 2015. The resulting 2 images from the 60s and 180s subs have been blended with layer masks in PS to preserve detail in the core.

Comment, criticisms?

Very nice image Malcolm! i did notice that there are some black specs in the background. i have found these when my calibration images were not taken at the same temperature. i.e. your flats should have been dark subtracted with a dark frame of the same exposure length and temperature. i am not sure if it makes a difference if your flat frames are short subs but i would have it at the same sensor temp too. This was my finding from using CCD stack, i am not sure how DSS handles it.
