Best way to heat metal (around 300 degrees)

Looking at doing some metal casting using moulds made by my 3D prints. I would like to cast using an alloy which casts at between 275°C and 330°C.

Would anyone know what I can use to heat the metal to this temp? I saw building a homemade foundry but I am sure there is an easier way!

A reasonably powerful gas ring [like a wok burner]will heat the contents of a cast iron pot to the temps that you require. A metal collar around the ring will help to confine the heat, and therefor heat the pot quicker.

Just be REALLY REALLY careful of fumes. 330 degrees is about right for lead. Lead fumes=serious problems

I used a tin and balance weights from car tyres that I found on the side of the road to make my own sinkers. The metal melted on an ordinary electrical stove top.
