As follows:

Skywatcher 10" GOTO Collapsible Dobsonian.

Good Condition. Optically Excellent.

Mods are minimal, I have fitted my own DIY dew heater to the finderscope and secondary mirror (both of which are completely removable, just straps etc). And the light shield that covers the trusses was homemade also.

It is 4 years old now from new.
History: I have pulled the base down and loosened the clutch plates for hand and motor movement, it was previously too tight and would not move by hand.

I have had an electronic issue with it that I have had rectified under warranty (but currently issues are re-appearing). You can read about them here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=129760

The slow slew problem I have had with it was fixed under warranty with new circuit boards to the Azimuth and Altitude motors. Not too long afterwards though the problem is re-appearing to a lesser degree but still present on an inconsistent basis nonetheless. GOTO operation for landing on targets will get there but can sometimes take a while due to the slow slewing for the final approach.

HOWEVER, if used in autotracking mode, none of the above will apply. You will need to align it to north and input your co-ordinates for your target and it will do sidereal tracking.

Currently using 3.37 firmware.

Comes with:
- Original 25mm Super Plossl
- Original 10mm Super Plossl
- Original adapters for 1.25" and 2" eyepieces
- 10" solar filter

Bought for $1700 new.

Any chance you would consider posting to Perth?

Pickup is much more preferable, obviously not really an option for yourself given your location(or mine).

I fear the transport cost of this thing will not be cheap, and would need to be covered by yourself, along with insurance...
