The motion of the NE filament and associated prominences gave me the opportunity to endeavour to capture a more "3-D type" image. The DMK 21 camera along with a 60-mm H-a Coronado Solarscope was used to capture avi's of the filament at various exposures. The most pleasing "correct" exposure of the filament and the limb darkening zone, resulted in under exposure of the prominences, and over exposure of the Sun's surface. This image was combined with a separate surface image and coloured. Inverting all channels of this final image, i.e. making a negative, produced the "blue-sol" false colour image, which I have pleasure in sharing. Arthur.

Hi Arthur,
That shot probably took a while to process. It certainly looks interesting and almost 3D - can you put the non-inverted image with it? Its all very wet up here in Central Vic. Regards an thanks, John W.

Thanks Arthur, looks good but I would invert or recolour the bright background so the proms will stand out more clearly.
