I Bought from a good guy this telescope with the idea of keeping the mount (EQ6 PRO) but the telescope is in beautiful condition and i am now wondering if i should keep it......

Is it good for photography? i can see it is an F15, i wish i had a chance with clear sky to test it.....

Thanks guys

You've got a scope there that some people would give their hind teeth for.
Great for planetary, lunar, and double star splitting, and imaging of those
things, but being a slow scope, not the scope of choice for fainter more
extended objects.

Good scope for lunar & planetary. Don't consider selling it until you are really sure you know what you want.

You want to get rid of a 7" Mak?????
Well, the weather is supposed to clear up by Thursday.

I suspect that by Friday you will be wondering what on earth you were thinking?
Though you'd probably want a 42mm to 50mm 2" eyepiece to appreciate the low power views.

I got my 180 pro mack the same way, it came with a HEQ5 pro mount ( I only wanted the mount) but the guy wouldn't split them. Not something I had on my wish list but definitely a keeper. You get great planetary and moon views without the need for a barlow,
Here's a couple of pics with a $10 web cam, prime focus, the wider field moon was with a 1100D canon.

Sad but sold it, wife would kill me if i keep it, very happy with my mount in my scope!!!!!

I feel bad for selling it, its a good thing i did not test it i guess....

Lets focus on getting better with my photos......
