This image is the first light trial of my new TS Photoline APO 115mm, f7, 800mm fl.

It is also an experiment with a higher dynamic range setting with short subs for the ASI1600M-C (Gain 105, Offset17, Temp -25C).
Image consists of just: (50x40sec Red, 53x40sec G, and 45x40sec B). No Lum added. Registered and stacked in DSS with Darks and Bias. Layer nd colour processing in Photoshop CC.

I will return to this target when the weather permits to build up the data.

Nice work Glen, seems to have some depth and colour.

That's coming along nicely Glen.

How do you think the 1600 mm would handle doing a "dark" object like the dark doodad or something like that?

Again a fine image.

Scott

With its very low noise and good sensivity it should do well on dim/dark nebula and dark cloud objects provided you get the settings right and run enough subs. I believe there some examples in the Astrobin ASI1600MM group. Give it a try.

Just checked out the shark nebula. Looks quite good.
Pity the settings weren't posted
