The weather has been non optimal, so its back to processing old data for me. I've recently learnt about auto-optimisation of darks (to match them closer to the lights) so I recalibrated some old data with the auto-optimisation on (in MaxDSLR). Here's the result.
Milky Way and M8 Lagoon (http://www.zodiaclight.com/images/MilkyWay50mmLens17x2Mins800ISORewor kedDarked28Aug06c.jpg) (555 KBytes)
Milky Way Spacewalk (M8, M16, M17, M24, etc.) (http://www.zodiaclight.com/images/MilkyWay50mmLensSpaceWalk17x2Mins80 0ISOReworkedDarked28Aug06Web1280b.j pg) (Warning: 1.5MB)
Take the space walk, scroll around, and see if you can find the Trifid Nebula (M20)...
Exposure: 17x2 Mins ISO 800 Noise Reduc Off (x 8 darks)
Scope: Canon 350D 50mm Lens
Mount: LXD-75 unguided
Process: MaxDSLR and Photoshop
