So all things being equal, and by that I mean if i had the money to buy a 10 inch newtonian reflector with an equatorial mount with motor and dual speed focuser what would be the better brand?
Celestron
Sky Waycher
Saxon
Bintel
Bushnell
Orion
Meade

SW (just so you get 1 answer :D *shrugs*)

I would consider all, except Bushnell.

the optics are discussed in this thread - which also includes GSO

for the mount, depends on what you want to do. If imaging, get the strongest you can afford.

BTW, Bintel is a branded GSO scope, just so you know. Avoid Bushnell, it could be a rebranded anything, although it is a name used by Tasco, the Skywatcher distributor.

Meade also use some of the GSO optics. SkyWatcher, Orion and Saxon are made in different factories but by the same manufacturer. The SkyWatcher has a 5 year warranty, not sure what the others have.
