M 20 Trifid Nebula.

Recently completed this project, captured with ZWO ASI 174MM Cool. Image was processed in PixInsight and Photoshop. LRGB data: Luminance - 106 mins, Red - 50mins, Green - 44mins and Blue - 46mins.

Nice image. The colours seem a bit muted to me, but it's fine for the detail.

It does look like some of your stars have problems - did you do a deconvolution without masking/protecting the stars?

Thanks Chris. I appreciate your comments. I haven't used star masks in PI yet, so will be looking into them.

So much to learn in PI! :lol:

Nice work, Craige.

As Chris suggested you could bump up the saturation in the brighter areas (apply a clipped luminance mask and lift the CurvesTransformation Saturation curve.)

I didn't think the stars detracted from the image significantly but worth figuring out how to fix this in future.
