This is nothing to write home about but I've never imaged it before. It's the second and less impressive Messier globular in Aquarius the other one being M2 which I thought I had imaged once but apparently not because I can't find the image. Seeing conditions varied from absolutely lousy to quite good at times.

Cheers

Steve

Pinpoint stars, excellent colour, resolved all the way in. Looks so three-dimensional!

Tight and well resolved Steve:thumbsup:star color is off a bit...there's no pink stars dude.

Still,I love globs, especially the less imaged ones and clusters are great for filling in time between other projects.

You've inspired me to start shooting some when I get the new mount up an running.....thanks Steve.

Thanks Louie. I'm glad to be an inspiration to someone. Not with you on the pink stars though. I can't see any pink on my monitor.

Thanks M&T

Nice one Steve. Okay, maybe not a "glamour" image but that's not the point is it!!

Definitely no pink stars in there (on my calibrated Eizo monitor).

Thanks Marcus. You are correct. It's just an ordinary globular which I've never imaged previously.

A very pretty little glob, Steve. I also reckon it has a nice 3D look to it.

Thanks Rick. A few people have said that. M2 is actually the more impressive globular so maybe I'll do that some day.

Another rarely imaged object. Nicely done and those blue stars really stand out. An odd phenomenon to have blue stars together like that with the other usual types.

Very nicely done Steve. May be the start of a new Messier imaging marathon perhaps?

Thanks Rob. No I don't think so although it's possible I might go back and image the other Messier globular in Aquarius at some stage.
