Managed these after the torrential rain yesterday. The three planets and the windmill were taken with the 6D and a 100-400 at 100mm. The nightscapes were with a Canon 5Ds and 15mm f2.8 lens.ISO 6400 at 30s with camera NR on .Boosted slightly in Picasa.
I got the 5Ds primarily for close up macro and bird shots as well as landscapes however as I rarely process Raws I was very happy with the jpegs nightscapes from this camera.

Nice series Derek. I like the use and placement of the windmill in those particular compositions.

So you couldn’t wait for the 5D Mk IV eh?;)

Cheers

No Dennis but after much thought and lying on the ground i just hope they eventually bring out a full frame with a tilt screen. I know I could tether it but then I wouldn,t be as mobile.Tried some with the Fisheye tonight.
