Here's more from Astrofest. Same rig. All shot Monday night. Used Jarrod's fantastic milkyway shot for color reference on the fields around M7 and the Snake. Stacked in CCD Stack, registered in Prometheus. Color balance was done in Goodlook 64 and finished off in Photoshop.

You've produced more images from this Astrofest than I have in the last 12 months haha :D

Very nicely done Marc, another group of very nice regions with OMG so many stars :P

Thanks Colin. I didn't realise how much I shot. I thought I was about finished now but I had another look and there's another two nights worth. :scared: Might give it a rest for now and do something else.

The Antares-M4 pair, and the snake are very well done. The M7 cluster is excellent. I'm guessing that the bright yellow star is a part of the cluster and therefore on its way to being a red giant. The dust lanes on either side are intriguing and well processed. Great shot.

Thanks Rex.

Thanks Louie. Did pull a few allnighter or slept in between. No other panels no. Just was focusing and shot a couple of subs on the star itself.

Yeah mate. Stacks of subs. :)

M7 is a cracker!
You handled the Antares region beautifully. The Glob is terrific.
Only one criticism on B72, you'll have to back off on the blue channel.

Thanks Nettie. Regarding the colors in the snake I used Jarrod's wide field (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=1266976&postcount=1) as a reference. You can see the starfield colors are radically different in the M7 area and the snake which is more grey in appearance so it ends up looking a lot bluer in a close up shot. In the past I would have matched the colors in between the two shots but looking at the wider field it would have been a mistake.

Thanks Rick. The old Q really picks up these subtle variation in hues I've noticed as well as star colors. Really cool scope.

Thanks Dunk.
