Hi,

I read in the spec (http://www.telescope.com/Mounts-Tripods/Altazimuth-Mounts-Tripods/Orion-Atlas-Pro-AZEQ-G-Computerized-GoTo-Telescope-Mount/c/2/sc/35/p/102340.uts), that this mount only has 10-90 latitude range.

Let say I would take this mount to a place near equator or at a latitude below 10. Would a pier will work it out?

Cheers

Just guessing here Yusfi, but I would say you would have to get a wedge made that has a slope of the missing elevation angle. The wedge would go between the mount and the pier so the telescope points lower to find the pole.
If the pier had a rat cage on top, you could just adjust the bolts to get the required slope.

Cheers
Bill

Good thought Bill, will have a try with a wedge.
Thanks for this
