I haven't imaged Omega Centauri for a while.

I thought it would be a good time to try another version. of course we are spoilt with having the largest glob viewable in our Hemisphere.

Good effort Greg, although looks a bit clipped to me.

Nice one Greg. You've convincingly shown the eccentricity, resolved down to the core, picked up the Blue Stragglers. Close pairs are resolved.

Agreed that the blacks are a bit clipped, and the blues are a tiny bit strong.

Despite that, there's a beautiful colour contrast between a bright pair at 6 o'clock and half way from centre to edge.

Lovely.

Thanks Louie. I have a bit of a habit of cutting the histogram close. On my Photoshop its not actually clipped but virtually no room to the left either. I've been putting attention on leaving more room to the left of the histogram. It tends to be eaten into very often with later stages of processing. I've boosted it a bit more so it looks less jet black in the background. I may have to start from scratch though to fully correct it. Fortunately its not a large image to do that.

Thanks, I boosted it more and reduced the blue a tad.

Cheers Marc.

Yes I have. I had a good run of weather about 2 weeks ago. Its gone now of course but it was good for a while.

Cheers Rick.

Was that with the CDK or a crop from the RHA?... says RHA under the image but the stars have spikes :-)

Either way, looks great :)

You got deeply into that one mate, it's a lovely O.Cent.

I noticed that. I'll double check. The file is labelled RHA. I think sometimes the microlenses give a spike.
I double checked it against some dates and you are absolutely right it was with the CDK17. Wrongly labelled file.

Thanks Trev.
