Takahashi TOA-150 OTA

It's shameful to have a TOA-150 boxed up in a cupboard! So it's time to let it go to a new home! My imaging scope is now my 14" RC so I can't see myself using the TOA in the foreseeable future.

All optical components are in pristine condition (aperture image below taken in December 2015). Optical performance is best in class. See my website (http://www.pbase.com/gailmarc/bellsobservatory) for images produced using this scope.

OTA comprises:

TOA (F7.3) Serial # 06010 (incl. 2" and 1.25" eyepiece adaptors)

Tube counterweight

Tube Rings

7x50 Illuminated reticle Finderscope

Price adjustment

I'd really like to sell this scope sooner than later so I'm doing a modest reduction in the sticker price to $11,000. and throwing in three accessories. The deal now includes:


4" 67 flattener (a must for photography),
Robofocus (already attached),
TOA Extender 1.6x

These accessories together are worth between $1,300 and $1,400 on the second hand market.

At approx 50% of the new price and substantally less than what I paid, I believe this is a bargain for a proven performer and best-in-class refractor! Remember, this is more than just the bare OTA as advertised in places like OPT and AEC, where you have to buy tube rings, finderscope, flattener, extender etc separately and then add shipping (and GST from OS).
