Old thread getting a little long to work with, its winter , soup time if I can find somewhere, probably Fyshwick due to ease of parking on a Saturday arvo. No dates set, I'm in Sydney this weekend so what's your preference? Open to anyone who digs telescopes and will be in Canberra on the day, yes, all welcome, separate table for anyone who is from Qld and wants to talk rugby.

Roger

I'm out of town last weekend of August otherwise would be interested any other weekend.

The cafe across from the cinema in Manuka has soup. Park at Manuka pool or teleopia park. Parking is easy and its only a couple of minutes walk from there to Franklin St.

Any weekend's as good as another at the moment. I also like Manuka better than Fyshwick ... but either will do.

There is an arcade that runs from Franklin St through to Palmerston Lane, opens out and then an open walk to Bougainville St. It's on the right hand corner as you stand on Franklin St and face the arcade entrance. See map

Sounds OK ... assuming I don't win Lotto and end up jetting off to Paris, or Tokyo, or New York ..... sigh ..... I suppose Manuka will just have to do.

Roger,

your IIS PM box is empty. You need to clear some space.

Thanks for the invite Joe.

3rd September is the day after my birthday. I'll be going 4WD with the wife.

The following weekend I'm working Friday afternoon to Sunday night, upgrading operating systems. :~(

Please keep me involved in future meet-ups.

Gentlemen,

Really enjoyed meeting you and today's discussion. We should get together again and see if we can round up any other Canberra members for next time. You have encouraged me to take another look at my options in terms of upgrading my scope, once I can solve the street light problem at my house.

best regards

Very much enjoyed the chat and the coffee.... great to meet you Malcolm and yes, we should do this again. I'm also happy to get along to any viewing evenings if anyone wants to head out of town a bit for darker skies......

really enjoyed the chat.

Sorry I didn't make it: personal issues.

Looking forward to the next one, though.
