Skywatcher 102mm x 1000mm refractor.
My old guidescope, no longer needed as now using ONAG. Comes with finder, 2" diagonal, 2" x 28mm eyepiece and mounting rings. I have the original packaging which is too long for Australia Post so pick up only from Kempsey area. $220
Change of plans, I could post if I take the dew shield off. Postage at cost.
Thanks for looking

If I take the dew shield off and the diagonal I can get it down under 1m long, so it would be possible to post. I still have the box it came in which I could cut down to suit. Postage would be extra, at cost.

Roger, have a look online at www.e-go.com.au (http://www.e-go.com.au) for shipping quotes. I, and others here, have used it for bigger articles and their pricing is good (it's worth doing a mock quote to the furthest Capitol from you to see the max cost). They tend to use Roadrunners, or similar for there shipping. If the buyer has a depot nearby then the price can be reduced over a home delivery. Alternately they will deliver to a work place through the day.
Just a thought, and it gives you more potential customers, and doesn't involve trying to make it fit the Auspost limitations.

I hope this reply is accepted, as it is relevant to this sale.
I just did a mock sale using the website that you mentioned Trevor,
and I think that Pack and Send would be a bit cheaper.

Thanks Raymo and Trevor, both options look good and I think Raymo is right that Pack & Send is the cheaper option and cheaper than Aus Post as well. Certainly to Perth it is, not sure about other places.
