OK, so I've worked out that Adeliade is a town in SA, but what else is there to know about things to do and see in SA? :)
Seriously... my partner is getting a work trip to Adelaide in early December. I'm going to hitch a ride and fly over there with her, then we'll have an extra week or something of holiday attached to her 3 days of work. Nothing set in concrete yet.
Neither of us know anything about SA. We're going to be staying somewhere near the CBD .. near the botanic gardens for a while. She has to fly to Ceduna for at least a day to visit Venus Bay (although I see on a map they aren't close??), so there's the option of me flying there with her and us spending a few days around that area too.
We're both the hiking & photographing kind of people. Happy to drive reasonable distances - we're assuming we'll get a hire car. Also interested in what more normal touristy stuff there is. Also not sure if there's some kind of outback tours that would be good to get us into some different territory to what we're used to over here in the west/south-west?
Ideas?
Thanks for any tips!
