Test image for the FOV with the SV70T.
I won't go ahead with full Nb on this as I'm not in love with the framing, but overall the FOV is pretty cool.
I just don't really care for images with dual centres of attention, probably just me though :)
Mind you, I'm amazed how much Ha there is showing between these two objects.

Now if only the weather in Vic would improve we could all get on with some imaging !

I kinda like the framing :) It looks like there is a lot of Ha in the area! You have done something to the brighter stars, over sharpened?

Perhaps a bit over processed but lots of Ha there and I think it would make a pretty fine image really.

I personally like the framing and its a fabulous wide view. I think it would be worth the effort. I thought at first this was a 2 panel panorama so that is a very wide field.

The intervening material is interesting in its own right. The dust shows structures reminiscent of black gum trees and dragonflies.
Would love you to have a crack at the Vela SNR with this beast next summer.

I like the composition, Andy, even if you don't :)

Thanks Colin, Simmo, Mike, Greg & Rick for your kind comments about my composition - I'm still not 100% convinced, but as there's a clear night forecast this weekend and it's a full moon - I may well revisit this after all :)
Yes, Mike - the "space between" is interesting indeed, and not often featured.
Regarding Vela - I had a brief attempt earlier and had it all planned, tested and after several attempts it was nicely composed - but a combination of poor weather and being too late in the year meant it disappeared behind my neighbours house all too soon!
Still, it's not going anywhere anytime soon - next season then :)
