Well it seems that I am cursed to never be able to complete a sequence of frames. Last night, on what has been only the 3rd night so far this year that promised to be clear, I was lured into setting up - assemble, balance, focus align and frame my target to start taking the first frame .... and in rolled the clouds. So once again I only have a single cloud effected frame to play with. Between the constant cloud cover and light pollution it would seems that Jakarta is just about the worst place on the planet to try and do astrophotography - what I wouldn't give for a decent clear night to get a decent set of data ! (The first born is treading on thin ice at the moment ..... :) )

Single 900s frame uncalibrated
SW ED80 with x0.85 reducer flattener
Atik 420 mono
Astronomik 12nm Ha
HEQ5 with Rowan belt mod
Guiding with ZWO 60/280 guide scope and ASI120mc-s
CdC, EQMod, APT, PHD2, FITS liberator and PS CC

That single 900s frame is more clear sky than I have seen in weeks here in Melbourne :P Looks like a good start though, clear skies all round :P

I average 30-45 nights per year that are usable for imaging.

I actually worked it out a couple weeks ago, in the 400 days (nights) since I bought the HEQ5 at start of May last year I had managed 14 usable nights, and of those only 2 were in 2016.

Hmmm, that isn't reassuring for my plan to do a remote obs at my folks place in SW WA !
