Scope arrived just 11days after payment. Very well made indeed. Unfortunately the Crawford focuser mechanism was knocked off during transport so I will need to repair damaged threads tomorrow at work. Will post a short review when tested.

Very nice optical tube. I have not owned an apo, but this tube assembly looks like most of the common apos out there. Sliding dew shield and two speed focuser. I have used a few short tubes and they were all soft at higher powers,with more than one optical aberration. Fine at lower magnification, but that is what they were designed for. Because of this scopes longer focal ratio chromatic aberrations are kept quite low. Excellent day time viewing. The only negative I found was some astigmatism on star discs, noticeable mainly on stars brighter tham mag one. At $299.00 which includes post this scope is a keeper for me. It's performance is way better than any of the 80mm shortubes I have used in the past.
