This was a test of my new cooled Canon 450D (details are here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=1259330)). Cold finger was installed but there was no cooling attached to it. The finger actually provided quite a nice passive cooling, ambient was 10C, cold finger/sensor at 16C while exif data showed 21C. Noise levels were much less than on my uncooled 1200D on the same night.

Anyway, here are the details:
46 lights @ISO1600, 180s each, 2h 18min total
16 darks, 20 flats

Stacked with DSS and then processed with StarTools (still haven't bought it so I took a screenshot again).

The cooling is assembled now and being tested on my desk. Unfortunately it will be cloudy for the next few days :mad2:

Looks fine Luka. Don't worry to much about the exif (processor) temp, if your finger is reporting 16c then that is the sensor temp. Optimal ISO for the 450D is 800, this is low noise setting., of course youbhave to run longer subs but oncevtge cooling is operation that should not matter. Good work.
