Thank God for Ving!! Nearly half way through the month before there is an entry, but that really shows the BIG and the small. A first class interpretation. At the rate we've been going, I thought no-one was going to enter this month.
I know that I'm generally a latecomer when it comes to posting a shot, though this month I have an idea in mind, but have to wait for a grandson's availability. As soon as I can find time on his busy schedule (he is nearly 4!!), you can have my submission.
Regards,
Mike

I am supposed to put a comment in..
Uummm... vings image is much bigger and of better quality than mine.......
Hopefully will get on track imaging wise, have just sold an EOS SLR to get something together digitally, i would love to be able to image DSO's one day so there is much to contemplate.
Barry the fish might not be what iceman intended when he announced the subject of this months images, but boy he really was a big old fish!!
damn, i thought i was going to win by default :P

Bummer!! We could have brought the perfect picture for this contest from Little Desert. We had my 8" f/4 portable truss dob set up right next to an 18" f/4.5 Obsession. Was truly a David and Goliath pair. Maybe Snake Valley... :confuse3:

Thanks Mike! The colours I get are usually because of the time of day the picture was taken. Around sunrise and sunset is the best light for photography.
yes indeed it is! great shot jonathan :)

Nice one Jonathan, but have you noticed, it only gets windy when the fans are blowing?

Hi Tony (Firstlight),
I think your red-faced bird is a Figbird, and if you park your car under a tree where they are eating, you'll need a bucket and sponge almost immediately.
