This has nothing on Ozstronomer's current fantastic field at 35mm but it is a fraction larger :P

Taken with my Nikon D700 and a 24-120 F/4 lens. I really want to get a nice wide field prime lens as the abberations from this one aren't great(check the star at the top right corner) [fantastic day to day lens though which is what it is used for]. I had plans of getting an 30-60 minutes of data but clouds came out and started effecting from the next frame onwards :(

So, this is a single 120s ISO1600 @F/4. Needs flats but I was too lazy considering only a single frame. Looking forward to heading up to my dark site for some fun clear skies and wide field fun :)

A beautiful image, Colin. The aberration you refer to is not all that intrusive and does not detract from the superb detail. Well done.

Thanks Richard, went and reprocessed it. Just need some clear skies down here!
