hello members help please!
i have spent a lot of money at TS including a new 3" electric focusser, filter draw and a couple of adapters
the train:
APM 107 > 3" focusser > 3" 0.79 FF/FR > 17 - 21 mm variable extension tube > filter draw > DSLR

the problem appears that there is not enough in focus, very frustrating because what the hell is that massively long drawtube for anyway as it does not go in far enough for me to focus
any ideas people?

I notice TS don't list that particular flattener in the accessories suited to your scope; they list the TS 2.5 and riccardi.
Perhaps ask TS for the best solution?
I imagine the 3" flattener is too big to insert into the 3" focuser?

thanks for the reply tony.............. the 0.79 screws directly into the focusser

I take it you reduced the variable spacer to the minimum it will go?

If so then you need a skinnier adapter.

Precise Parts makes custom adapters.

thanks greg, the annoying thing is TS had every bit of detail as i had first contact them about this last september!
i am a little bit annoyed
TS said that the reducer goes "inside" the focusser, but it seems not to fit that way, it screws onto the end of the focusser just fine but the whole train seems to be too long
