I have had my Foxtel set to record this for a while now :D I will still probably watch it tonight anyway.

Just finished watching it, really good doco. The James Webb is going to be deployed 1 million miles from earth, so there is no second chance for repairs like they did with Hubble.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking there.:)
The cost would be immense.
It may have built in parts that can be exchanged roboticly,
But I very much doubt it.
It has been stated from the start that if it goes on the blink, that's it
Possibly quite a few years into the future, but by then another telescope could come along and make a repair obsolete.
Cheers:thumbsup:

I enjoyed it too. It was more about the history on telescopes in general and I would have like to seen more about the JWT getting built.

Finally got a day off so I was able to sit down and watch this. I thought it was a great doco. Learnt a few things and was right at my level of comprehension too!
