Mercury Transit - Brisbane viewing

One of the best spots for the Thursday transit is Decker Park in Brighton. This is a hugh area devoid of trees or obstacles and with a totally obstructed eastern horizon which will allow taking in the entire event from 5am

If you live in the northern suburbs of Brisbane this is possibly one of the best spots.

For the western suburbs, Mt Cootha has some good spots.

Is anyone planning on going up MT Cootha to view the mercury transit?

I was thinking of going up there as I can easily get to work in the city straight after.

It would be nice to view / share this event with someone.... Anyone up for it?
