IC 4628 - "The Flying Dutchman" is a legendary ghost ship that can never make port and is doomed to sail the cosmic oceans of Scorpius forever.
When sighted the ship is reportedly glowing with ghostly light.

Well that's my spin on this thing anyway, a bit more romantic than the Prawn Nebula, and it's kind of JMW Turner-ish with all that mist about.

I've reframed this image to keep as much nebulosity in as possible as there's heaps of Ha surrounding this neb, hopefully, it should look ok when finished :)

Thanks for looking, full tricolour NB to follow when the skies clear again over Melbourne.

BTW - Apparently this is my 1000th post on IIS :D lol

Just saw this pop up on Astrobin. Awesome field! I've been looking at doing a mosaic of this area - the Dark Tower is just out of your field of view top of image.

Looks really nice Andy, are you planning on drizzle integrating it when you finish? Will help bring out a lot more detail :) I LOVE your FOV :P
