Finished Solar Filter Cell

Finished my solar cell today, still waiting for the film so used a temporary piece of shiny stuff. Dont worry dust cap was on scope when this was taken :) Although I did forget to cover the finderscope.

Looks very nice Astroman, i must admit though that my 10' Newt has a weird Hartman kind of configuration for the Merc. Sun transit, like four 90mm inlets between vanes and as closely as can be positioned to the secondary. It all seems to work well in lead up tests with the solar Baader film, but then I am not photographing the event from home, but images are out there on hand weather providing. Lets hope our friends and neighbors will enjoy what we can provide at the time. Well i hope so , after having taken time off work for the day and then talked people into coming along for a squizz.
