I don't know how many of you have seen this, but have a look anyway. <b>It's a 20" (half a metre) Celestron!</b>
Yeah I know. most of you are Meade people.

Originally the Dall-Kirkham design was a modification of the classical cassegrain to avoid figuring the hyperbolic secondary. The price for this simplification was real bad off-axis coma.
Celeston are using a correcting lens presumably hidden away in the light baffle to deal with this. If it works then it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a 20 inch corrector plate!

I notice they call it a 'Corrected Dall-Kirkham' coma correct flat field. They got around the off-axis coma somehow!
