One of the best nights a while, New Moon, visiting friends in a pretty dark site down at Preston Beach (WA). I have never seen so much detail with naked eye before. I stupidly didn't take my scope.

I had my camera with me and tried to take some wide field milky way photos & timelapse, but got hit with bad dew & a neighbour turning on a light and smoke fom their wood fire coming over after a hour.

here is the video before i went outside to find the lens all fogged up.

Not too bad :) You should try and get out in the desert some time. Get right away from any lights, say, take the Gunbarrel Highway out past Wiluna until you can't see any glow from towns or mines. Then, you'll see the Milky Way and that as it should be. Bright enough to cast shadows :) You'll get great snaps from there!!.
